Contacts Management

The Contacts feature in EasyDCIM allows administrators to connect multiple contacts with either a client account or an administrator account.
This provides greater flexibility in managing permissions and access to services.

Each contact inherits access to the parent user’s services in the Client Area and may additionally manage their own assigned services, depending on the role permissions granted.

From the backend, administrators can quickly assign or unassign contacts to both clients and administrators, review their details, and ensure proper access management.

Assigning a Contact

To assign a new contact:

  1. Navigate to either the Clients section or the Administrators section in the main menu.
  2. Select the user (client or administrator) you want to manage and open their Summary View.
  3. Switch to the Contacts tab.
  4. Click on Assign Contact.
  5. In the popup window, select a contact from the dropdown list of available users.
    • The contact will inherit access to the parent user’s services.
    • They will also be able to manage assigned resources based on their role permissions.
  6. Click Save Changes to confirm.

Useful Information: Assigned contacts see all parent services directly from their Client Area dashboard, ensuring smooth cooperation without the need for multiple separate accounts.

Unassigning a Contact

If a contact should no longer have access:

  1. Go to the Contacts tab of the chosen client or administrator.
  2. Locate the contact you want to remove and click Unassign Contact.
  3. In the confirmation popup, review the information carefully.
    • Unassigning will revoke the contact’s access to all parent user’s services.
  4. Confirm the action by clicking Save Changes.

Notifications

To keep both administrators and clients informed about changes in contact assignments, the system automatically triggers notifications:

  • When a contact is assigned – the parent user and the new contact receive information about the new access granted.
  • When a contact is unassigned – both parties are notified that the access has been revoked.

Notifications improve transparency and allow users to track who currently has access to their services.
